Work is proceeding nicely on the new and improved blog. Expect an autumn launch date.
Which date, exactly? At this time, let’s not speculate. Best not to count our chickens before they hatch, lest there be a few dangerous undead chicks waiting to pop out of those shells, peck out our eyeballs, and cause a ghastly delay or two.
In the meantime, while we sidestep those icky, red-beaked chicks, wouldn’t it be fun to take a stroll down memory lane?

‘Tis better to try and fail than to never try at all. On a related note, ’tis better to laugh at these epic fails than to flee screaming in fear. Courtesy of the endlessly entertaining FAILBLOG.
#5 UFO FAIL
#4 VAMPIRE FAIL (or VAMPIRE PREVENTION WIN, technically speaking)
It’s the future. Everybody is a vampire. Everybody but you. What would you do?
The upcoming DAYBREAKERS provides a few suggestions (mostly involving crossbows).
Ah, gift-giving season. What to get the Paranormal Investigator who has everything? A Paranormal Investigator Hat, of course. “Only” $250.00 from Baron Hats Classic Reproductions.
For much, much less, get the complete KOLCHAK – THE NIGHT STALKER TV series on DVD. The inspiration for THE X-FILES and countless other series, KOLCHAK – THE NIGHT STALKER actually began as two very eerie TV movies about the mysterious adventures of Carl Kolchak, a wisecracking reporter with a nose for news. Especially the eerie, paranormal kind of news. . .
Both the series and the TV movie are highly recommended viewing if you love vintage vampires, monsters, and hats.
Christmas fans might also recognize series star Darren McGavin as the dad from A CHRISTMAS STORY, the classic holiday movie.
