AN OPEN LETTER TO MR. TIM BURTON RE: ‘MALIFICENT’

Dear Mr. Tim Burton, Sir:

If it wouldn’t trouble you terribly, please do direct MALIFICENT, the “dark” retelling of SLEEPING BEAUTY that is reportedly on your “maybe” list right now. While the idea of retelling a popular tale from the perspective of the wicked female villain is not altogether original, nobody has cast Ms. Angelina Jolie in such a tale before.

This is highly advisable.

Thank you for your time and attention.

Malificent (with lovable animal sidekick): misunderstood?

EEK! IT’S THE ‘WOLFMAN’ TRAILER!

Witness below the trailer for THE WOLFMAN!

Judging by the trailer, some will surely find the movie to be unoriginal, or “derivative” as snooty movie critics often say. But clearly it’s deriving itself from some excellent source material (namely, SLEEPY HOLLOW and AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON, not to mention the 1941 Universal classic, THE WOLF MAN).

So to snooty movie critics we say: Relax, scream, and enjoy.

Equally noteworthy & due in theaters whenever.

Equally noteworthy & due in theaters whenever.

They both appear rather frightful and delightful. Which would YOU rather see?
