AN OPEN LETTER TO MR. TIM BURTON RE: ‘MALIFICENT’

Dear Mr. Tim Burton, Sir:

If it wouldn’t trouble you terribly, please do direct MALIFICENT, the “dark” retelling of SLEEPING BEAUTY that is reportedly on your “maybe” list right now. While the idea of retelling a popular tale from the perspective of the wicked female villain is not altogether original, nobody has cast Ms. Angelina Jolie in such a tale before.

This is highly advisable.

Thank you for your time and attention.

As for the rest of us, let’s enjoy this wonderful Universal Monsters tribute at Rotten Tomatoes. It’s all about the history of Universal Studios’ most (in)famous headliners, including our horrific hero, The Wolfman, and his very old pal, Dracula.

Nearly a hundred years of monsters lurk just one click away!
