A short while back, we featured a video revealing the extraordinary eyewitness evidence of what happens when 30 hornets pit themselves against 30,000 bees. The bees don’t fare well in such circumstances, and the resulting carnage was devastating to behold.
How might the bees survive such an attack? Sadly, they can’t.
However, the clever insects have caught on to the hornets’ tactics over the centuries. Their solution: Pre-emptively take out the hornets’ recon scout, thereby preventing the other hornets from finding the bees’ hideout.
Prepare to feel sorry for a tarantula for the first time in your life. Somehow I think I know how he feels. I don’t know why. Perhaps you’ll relate to his struggle too.
The true winner? Whoever wakes up every day, shoots this type of footage, and survives to collect the paycheck.

Thirty hornets versus 30,000 bees! Witness the carnage after the jump below.
Note the appropriately hard-rockin’ goth-industrial soundtrack. For this reason and many others (including the courage of the bees against the menacing hornets), the similarities to the semi-historical war movie 300 are impossible to ignore.
Coming Soon to a Theater Near You: Angels. But scary ones!
Well-armed. Exquisitely winged. Heavily tattooed. The better to fight demons with, obviously.
See LEGION trailer below. Let’s monitor this one closely, people.
Yes, it’s the debut of the first trailer for A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET. It’s a well-crafted peek at the upcoming remake. Careful observers will notice . . . well, nothing especially interesting in any given glimpse at the actual movie.
You’ll still want to see it. We all will. The FX will surely rock.
But will it be anywhere near as clever or as creepy as A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET III: THE DREAM WARRIORS? That’s the only question worth asking.
UPDATE: The soundtrack for this post is now provided by Dokken! See below.
UPDATE: Dokken removed by YouTube. Watch HERE.
Behold the first published pic from Mr. Tim Burton‘s upcoming ALICE IN WONDERLAND, a 3D live-action/stop-motion/CGI phantasmagoria.
Not to be confused with Mr. Marilyn Manson‘s upcoming PHANTASMAGORIA, also based on ALICE IN WONDERLAND.
They both appear rather frightful and delightful. Which would YOU rather see?
