BEST OF THE GEE BLOG: 10 POPULAR ARTICLES REVISITED

Work is proceeding nicely on the new and improved blog. Expect an autumn launch date.

Which date, exactly? At this time, let’s not speculate. Best not to count our chickens before they hatch, lest there be a few dangerous undead chicks waiting to pop out of those shells, peck out our eyeballs, and cause a ghastly delay or two.

In the meantime, while we sidestep those icky, red-beaked chicks, wouldn’t it be fun to take a stroll down memory lane?

After the jump: Presented in chaotic, non-chronological order, here are ten of the most popular articles from days gone by, as voted by your clicks and comments . . .

‘AVATAR’ BETTER THAN ‘PHANTOM MENACE.’ WORLD BREATHES SIGH OF RELIEF.

FANGED FROG FOUND FEASTING IN FOREST!

PITY THE LEGO CRAWLER TOWN. ABSORB ITS PAIN.

Note: That last article is my personal favorite. It was secretly written from the imaginary perspective of late “grunge” rocker Curt Cobain, had he been reincarnated as a LEGO creation today.

  1. That would explain the kinda beak it had.

  2. Yeah, the seal dog makes no sense.

However, it does explain the Montauk monster. I remember people said it’s just a half decayed pig and they just might be right, but decayed and disfigured by bio weapons.

  3. Oh my god those poor animals QOQ
I highly doubt that picture of the seal with the dogs head being real, though. The other ones are…understandable. Although the last couple of pictures do make you wonder what the hell is going on.

  4. Holy shit, that’s insane.
“Weaponize against livestock from other countries–” poor Soviet Union.

  5. http://the5thdimension.wordpress.com/2009/01/03/bizarre-creatures-from-plum-island-requested-by-brian-klein/

    Read this.

  6. I’m with Chris on that one.

  7. The hidden social commentary you found in it, as well as being written from the point of view of Kurdt Cobane is he was a Lego robot creation?

  8. My favorite was the Lego Crawler. Guess why.

  9. The articles about the newly discovered spiders and fanged frogs were certainly the most interesting, Mr. Gee ^-^
