‘GHOSTBUSTERS 3′ IN 2011?

[UPDATE! 01_25_2010] Correction: As DJ LOOMIS writes below, the Phantom of Interest (POI) is not Ramis-as-Egon but, rather, Bill Murray as Dr. Peter Venkman. Some additional digging and look what we have here! Below is video of the original UK interview that launched a thousand blog posts:

GHOSTBUSTERS 3, anyone?

Just when you thought it was safe to enjoy the idea of 2010 and carpe annum (seize the year), along comes original Ghostbuster Harold Ramis with a reason to wish it were already 2011. His latest interview offers the most certain-sounding “GB3″ confirmation yet.

The long-rumored sequel will reassemble most of the original cast and pair them up with token youngsters. (Perhaps Justin Long and Shia LaBeouf can join the original Boo Crew as the same characters they played in DIE HARD IV and INDIANA JONES IV, respectively.)

According to some reports, one of the main characters (most likely Ramis-as-Egon) will appear only in ghost form! Intriguing?

  2. The question is correct. I don’t watch many movies. I read more than I watch TV and movies.

  3. India, you don’t watch many movies do you?
Either that or you have terrible memory.

  4. Bill Murray? The name is familiar.

  5. The ghost is Bill Murray.
    Sigourney Weaver confirmed it.

  6. Okay.

  7. Like with Spiderman, or Evil Dead, even though AoD was epic win for other reasons.

  8. Good point.

  9. The third is never as good as the first two.

  10. Seriously? I love Ghostbusters. I wonder if Ghostbusters 3 will be as good as 1 &2.
